Usually, when you see a man in a suit, you would think he’s a gentleman; well put together, handsome, etc… That image we have of men in suits is not a surprise since most of us rarely see such well-put-together men daily. Fashion trends change over time, but any fashion is possible in anime.

1. William James Moriarty/Moriarty the Patriot

William is a maths professor and a crime consultant; on top of that, his rival is Sherlock Homes. Growing up in an orphanage, a young William has the qualities of a leader, which helps garner supporters in his quest to topple the high-class nobles that make Britain such an unequal place to be in.
Being highly intelligent, even as a child, William would leave adults speechless with his views. As he got older and became like a noble (without the posh attitude), he could communicate and forge relationships with all classes of people, which led him to be trusted easily. He’s also well-versed in psychological warfare; his way with words has him always coming out on top.
For a man whose aim is to bring all classes to an equal level, he does have a lot on his plate. His skills in being strategic have landed him in situations with the great detective Sherlock Homes. William is calculating, considering a billion scenarios for even the most minor plans.
2. Leorio Paradinight/Hunter x Hunter

Losing his friend to an illness, Leorio is determined to become a doctor in remembrance of his friend’s sad situation. He doesn’t do it for money, but rather because he wants to help anyone from any situation not go through what his friend had to. He joined the Hunter Exams to attain capital to help with his med school fees and provide services for those less fortunate.
When we are first introduced to Leorio, he’s a complete narcissist who cares about nothing but money. He eventually reveals the true reason behind his actions showing a more humble/caring side. He puts great emphasis on his friends and their well-being. He kind is like the older brother we all would want; along with that, he has a great sense of loyalty to those he’s close with.
Leorio’s favourite weapon is the switchblade, which he can wield with easy effort. His suited appearance gives off a mysterious vibe to him that he is secretly capable of doing many things and not to cross him in any way.
3. Sanji Vinsmoke/One Piece

Sanji Vinsmoke is the man who rocks a blazar while managing to be the biggest simp in One Piece. He is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates and is the crew’s cook. He is known for his chivalry, refusal to harm women, and distinctive eyebrows.
Sanji is as strong as they come under Red Foot Zeff’s tutelage; Sanji mastered his tutor’s kicking techniques while adding twists. Sanji has a great sense of loyalty to his captain and crew. While his simp side does get to him, he shows great care for women, as displayed in the Whole Cake Island arc. You can usually find Sanji cooking up a storm in the kitchen, admiring beauty, or bickering with Zoro.
Sanji is a powerful and skilled martial artist, proficient in a fighting style called “Black Leg Style,” which he created himself. He can fight with great speed, agility and power. He can also use his kicks to deliver powerful blows and jump to great heights. He has a unique ability to use his fire attacks; he can ignite his leg to increase the power of his kicks.
4. Kento Nanami/Jujutsu Kaisen

Nanami is our hardworking salary man like sorcerer, and boy, is he daddy material. With sorcerer grade 1, Nanami is an exceptional sorcerer. He usually works outside of Tokyo, but that changed when Satoru asked him to help train Yuji. He is now a close mentor to Yuji.
Nanami has a lot of experience in curse hunting, which has made him a monument of knowledge for both the fans and characters alike. He’s very blunt and straightforward; he may seem cold and like a workaholic, but he knows when to separate his work life from his personal life. My man takes stoicism to a whole other level.
Equipped with high intelligence, Nanami is a master swordsman; combining it with his cursed technique helps him overcome some formidable foes. He’s well-versed in hand-to-hand combat as well. His meticulousness led him to have fantastic precision when planning his attacks too. Overall, as long as he does not work overtime, you can see this Chad in top performance.
5. Daisuke Kambe/The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited

“Drip or Drown” was coined in this generation, and Daisuke embodies the Drip part. Sporting a 3-piece suit, this billionaire uses his family’s wealth to help him solve cases. He works as a member of the Metropolitan Police Department.
His method for solving cases is rather semi-aggressive; imagine a lukewarm version of Batman. His demeanour is composed; he can keep his cool even in the most irritating situations. His belief of money solving everything is demonstrated in his bribes to the police and his usage of advanced tech when solving cases.
Interestingly, Daisuke’s name (when written in Kanji) has the meanings of big (大, Dai) and rescue/help (助, Suke). In my opinion, he is like a Japanese version of Batman. He’s rich, is involved in solving cases, has no superpowers, and has crazy connections.
6. Makima/Chainsaw Man

Makima, this woman, single-handedly took all male anime watchers by storm. She is the leader of the Devil Hunters, a government agency tasked with eliminating evil spirits known as “Devils,” and the one who trained the main protagonist Denji. Makima is known to be a powerful and skilled Devil Hunter, with her abilities and her mysterious past being a mystery to the characters in the story.
She is often seen as calm and composed, rarely showing emotion or vulnerability. However, she is also known to be very serious and dedicated to her work as the leader of the Devil Hunters, often taking on dangerous missions herself. Though she may seem cold and distant, she cares deeply for her team and works hard to protect them. She also has a strong sense of justice and is determined to eliminate war, hunger, or anything damaging to humanity.
Makima’s contract with the Control Devil is so powerful that it got its arc dedicated to explaining it. Makima’s control devil is one of the most powerful devils in Chainsaw Man due to how many ways she can use it. I’m no degen, but she can definitely control me, haha.
7. Sebastian Michaelis/Black Butler

Sebastian is one hell of a butler; literally, he is a butler from hell. He is the titular “Black Butler” and the loyal butler of the main protagonist, Ciel Phantomhive. He is known for his exceptional butler abilities and vast knowledge of various subjects. He is also known for his impeccable manners, extraordinary combat skills, and supernatural powers.
He is always calm, composed and polite, never losing his composure or showing any signs of emotion. He is also known to be very intelligent, knowledgeable and resourceful, able to think on his feet and come up with practical solutions to any problem. Despite his loyalty to Ciel, Sebastian is also a demon and has his agenda; he is very calculating and manipulates situations to his advantage.
Sebastian Michaelis is often considered a “sexy” character due to his suave, sophisticated appearance and demeanour. He is tall, elegant and well-dressed, often wearing a black suit and tie. He is well-groomed and handsome, with dark hair and striking blue eyes. His confident and composed personality, deep and smooth voice, impeccable manners and supernatural powers all contribute to his charm and attractiveness.
8. Sir Nighteye/My Hero Academia
Sir Nighteye is a Pro Hero and is the mentor of the main protagonist, Midoriya Izuku. He was one of the top heroes in Japan and was highly respected in the hero community. He was also known for his work as a sidekick to the number one hero, All Might. He passed away in the series during a fight with the Villain Overhaul.
Sir Nighteye is a serious, strict and highly intelligent Pro Hero who seriously takes his role as a mentor and defender of justice. He has a strong sense of right and wrong and is highly dedicated to protecting the innocent and fighting against evil. He is also very analytical, able to process and evaluate large amounts of information quickly and accurately and can predict future events with his Quirk.
Sir Nighteye’s Quirk is called “Foresight,” which allows him to predict the future for a short period of time. This ability allows him to see what will happen in the next few seconds, minutes or hours. He can use this information to make strategic decisions and avoid dangerous situations.
9. Spike Spiegel/Cowboy Bebop

Spike is the series’s main protagonist and is a skilled and cool-headed bounty hunter, also known as a “cowboy,” travelling through space in his ship, the “Bebop,” along with his partners, Jet Black and Faye Valentine. He is known for his exceptional fighting skills, laid-back attitude and mysterious past. He is also haunted by his past and has a tragic backstory, which shapes his personality and actions throughout the series.
He is also a lone wolf and has a tendency to keep his distance from others, preferring to work alone. Despite this, he cares deeply for his friends and will go to great lengths to protect them; he also has a deep sense of justice. Cowboys are perceived as heroes, but Spike is in it for his own gain. He could care less about being a hero and cares more about the bounty reward.
He is trained in various forms of hand-to-hand combat and can fight using a combination of speed, agility, and power. He is also an expert marksman, able to shoot with great accuracy and precision. His scenes where he smokes are some of my favourites because he looks soo cool!
10. Hirotaka Nifuji/Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku

Hirotaka is our handsome main protagonist. This guy loves gaming and gets super competitive. However, he’s still a diligent employee and sees that his work gets done and leaves on time.
He wears his otaku personality with pride and does not care what others think of him. He has a decent social skills, but he doesn’t have many friends due to his lack of interest. Although he may not be direct with how he feels in person, he uses many emojis when texting. Being a gamer, his favourite genres are fighting, FPS and action games.
A cool fact is that he has a high tolerance for alcohol. According to chapter 86, Hirotaka ends up marrying Narumi. It truly is wholesome/heartwarming to see a man marry his childhood crush, he really is the biggest winner.
11. Shinya Kogami/Psycho-Pass
Shinya is the main character and is a highly skilled detective and a former Inspector of the Public Safety Bureau’s Criminal Investigation Division. He is known for his sharp analytical skills, intense determination and a strong sense of justice. He is also haunted by his past, specifically his experiences as an Inspector and his encounter with the main antagonist, Makishima Shogo, which led him to abandon his role as an Inspector and become an Enforcer, a hunter of criminals.
He is determined, persistent and does not give up easily; he is also shown to be a loner and tends to distance himself from others; he is very reserved and does not open up easily. He is also a man of action who prefers to work alone and does not hesitate to take matters into his own hands when necessary. He is also shown to be a man of few words, but his actions speak louder than words.
His tragic past and inner struggles with his morality and values make him a relatable and empathetic character.
12. Rei Furuya/Case Closed

Formerly working undercover in the Black Organization. Rei is an investigator who has made many appearances in Conan’s mystery adventures. He currently works as a private detective and is the apprentice of Kogoro.
Rei has 2 sides to his personality. His cheerful side has a more warm and caring tone to his demeanour. His darker side has him as a manipulative person who doesn’t stop at anything to get what he wants. According to Volume 67 of the series, Gin says that Rei has a more secretive side to him and that no one could ever guess what he is up to.
Rei is also haunted by his past as a member of the Black Organization and is deeply remorseful for what he was forced to do while working for the organization. Despite this, he is determined to make amends for his past by bringing down the organization and protecting the innocent. He is also shown to be a man of action who does not hesitate to put himself in danger to protect others.
13. Daisuke Jigen/Lupin III
Daisuke is a supporting character, a skilled marksman, and one of the closest partners of the main protagonist, Arsene Lupin III. On top of being a skilled driver, he is known to have a dry sense of humour.
He is a man of few words who prefers to let his actions do the talking. He is also a skilled driver and can operate a variety of vehicles. He is also highly analytical, can think quickly, and make strategic decisions in high-pressure situations. Despite his stoic demeanour, he is also shown to be caring and protective, particularly towards Lupin and his other friends.
Daisuke is a really cool character that we often see in anime. His difference is his role in the anime and his humour.
14. Mamoru Chiba/Sailor Moon
Mamoru Chiba is also known as Tuxedo Mask. He is the main character and the love interest of the main protagonist, Usagi Tsukino. He is initially portrayed as a mysterious and aloof figure who often comes to the aid of the Sailor Senshi (Sailor Guardians) as Tuxedo Mask. Still, later it’s revealed that he is the reincarnation of Prince Endymion and is the rightful ruler of the Earth in the Silver Millennium.
He is also a strong and responsible person with a strong sense of justice and is willing to put himself in danger to protect others. He is also shown to have a deep sense of responsibility and a strong duty to protect the Earth and its people. Despite his aloofness, he is also deeply emotional, haunted by his past and responsibilities as a prince.
His suave and sophisticated demeanour we see when his Tuxedo Mask is a green flag for falling for him. Couple that with a tall and slim build; he really is eye candy.
15. Kaitou Kuroba/Magic Kaitou 1412

Kaitou, for real, is my inspiration for being cool. Also known as the Phantom Thief/Kaitou Kid, he is the main character and a gentleman thief known for performing spectacular heists and leaving behind calling cards announcing his next target; he also has a code of honour and never hurts anyone during his heists.
Kaitou is shown to be a man of his word, always keeping his promises and returning stolen items. He is also a complex character with a dark past and a deep sense of responsibility. When interacting with Ai, we see his goofy/sarcastic side. One aspect of his personality that stands out is that he always tries to put a smile on Aoko’s face no matter what she’s going through. His joker side is fun to enjoy, especially when he teases Aoko.
Kaitou’s white suit with the magician’s tophat really sells his magician persona. Its iconic poker card gun and glider help him in some of his more dire situations (like getting involved with gangsters or evading the law). Man, if I were Aoko, I’d sweep him off his feet, even now as a guy, I’d take him; he’s just that cool and suave.
Summary
Suits really do bring out a certain charm of anime characters and IRL folks. Something about the well-fitted seams of a blazer or the accessories someone where’s makes them easy on your eyes. Many characters who wear suits have this handsome/suave aspect, but plenty of other characters have different aspects about them while wearing suits. Also, some female characters wear suits, so it’s not just male-exclusive!
We hope you found a character that piques your interest!
