- Summary
1. Sasuke & Sakura/NARUTO

SasuSaku is the term used to refer to the romantic relationship between Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. From their early beginnings as team 7 chunin to creating their beloved family together, this couple has gone through thick and thin to be where they are today.
Sakura was the one who fell in love first in the relationship; Sasuke was seen as emo/distant but a popular boy in Konoha academy. So when they were selected as a team to be together, Sakura would always be after Sasuke trying to get his attention to make him fall in love with her. As they got older, Sasuke decided to pursue his ideals instead and left team 7, but before he left, Sakura begged him to stop, but he gave her a final goodbye before heading off into his adventure.
Years later, the two reunite on the battlefield of the 4th great ninja war and once again prove to us SasuSaku lovers that no matter how far apart they were, they did not forget one another, nor did the flames burn out. In Boruto, the couple is married to a daughter named Sarada, and while Sasuke is not as present as other fathers are, whenever he comes back home, he strictly spends time with his family.
2. Ban & Elaine/The Seven Deadly Sins

The relationship between these two is the most fantastic thing I can find in this series. I couldn’t think of finding something so profound that enters your heart and mind, leaving that mark that won’t disappear. It was love at first sight with Ban and with Elaine too. If you see these two characters separately, maybe you could find two different personalities because when they are together, they’re different.
After knowing each other, they managed to develop something, a feeling, that can be like that just when the two of them are together. After spending a lot of time together, they understood each other better and got used to their merits and weaknesses. This is why their feelings started to become something other than just a simple friendship.
Love is the fruit they gave birth to, which, unfortunately, can’t be fulfilled at the moment, but it remains and will always be there because Ban promised it. Later in the post-manga, they married and had a son named Lancelot.
3. Yusuke & Keiko/YuYu Hakusho
Keiko is Yusuke’s childhood friend, and they eventually got married. They attended the same school as children and grew up together. Keiko is Yusuke’s opposite in many ways. She is sweet and composed, but she occasionally gets angry. However, she is primarily enraged at Yusuke.
She is also well-known for her dependability and intelligence—she is the section’s class representative. She scolds Yusuke frequently as a class representative for his bad student behaviour, such as missing classes and being absent frequently, but inside, she just wants to protect him.
On the other hand, Yusuke grew up in a very uncaring environment. He’s irritable, hasty, and barbarous and likes to threaten the people who fear him. However, underneath his bold and cocky demeanour is a jovial and caring nature. In the course of the series, the two characters go from being close friends when they were kids to getting married. a satisfying conclusion, if I do say so myself.
4. Nishikata & Takagi/Teasing Master Takagi-san
Throughout the anime, Takagi and Nishikata’s relationship has developed gradually; while the prodding “battle” between the two perseveres throughout the show, it essentially extends their association and has continuously died down.
It is obvious that Nishikata has a massive crush on Takagi, but he is still apprehensive about it. Nishikata’s realization of his feelings for her gets closer and closer as the show goes on, but it takes time. The fact that Takagi is overshadowed by Nishikata’s teasing antics obscures the less obvious fact that Takagi might share the same feelings for Nishikata.
Additionally, Nishikata is extremely concerned about Takagi’s emotions. His worries frequently resulted in Takagi mocking him, but they always won Takagi’s approval. For instance, Takagi was depressed and helpless when she argued with her mother about the family trip date because she could not accompany Nishikata to the Summer Festival. Nishikata quickly noticed that she was uneasy and didn’t make fun of him that day at school.
Nishikata realized that Takagi’s teasing had become an irreplaceable part of his life after years of putting up with it. Because of the mischievous antics of their daughter, Chi, their days together are more vibrant than ever now that they are married. Chi tends to play pranks on her father, much to her mother’s dismay.
5. Kirito & Asuna/Sword Art Online
In the show, Kirito is Asuna’s partner and primary love interest. Among every individual, Asuna has met, he is the nearest and dearest to her. They started dating when they met in the Labyrinth on the First Floor. Later, they joined a party to fight the boss. They fall in love with each other as the series progresses. By that time, Asuna was looking forward to tomorrow and believed that Kirito was the reason she was still alive.
Asuna usually cooks for Kirito when they meet again on the 74th floor. They fall in love with each other as the series progresses. They only care about each other’s safety after declaring their love.
As a result, the two characters tied the knot in-game and spent their honeymoon two weeks on the 22nd Floor before being summoned back to the front lines. During those two weeks, Asuna tells Kirito and Nishida that when she first started playing the game, she would cry because she was stuck in a death game. But she would turn her sadness into determination, which helped her level up quickly.
6. Shirogane & Kaguya/Kaguya-sama: Love is War
The majority of the series is centred on Miyuki and Kaguya’s relationship, as they both like each other but confess to each other that they are too proud and of a different class. Kaguya is reluctant to transparently confess to him that she cherishes him, due to her status as a Shinomiya and her tremendous drive to win, since whoever experiences passionate feelings initially loses. Because of this, she starts playing mind games with Miyuki to get him to confess, which he is doing.
Kaguya says that she first met Shirogane in the summer, just a few months into high school, when he made it clear that he wanted to see who could get better scores on an exam to get her attention. Even though Miyuki had gotten close to her before. Surprisingly, he keeps his word and finishes first in his year level, beating her and gaining her and everyone else’s attention in the Student Council as a role model.
They started dating officially after chapter 160. They do, however, agree to conceal their relationship from other people for the time being. She still expresses her love for him outwardly despite this. On the other hand, she and Miyuki secretly hold hands when the rest of the Student Council gets involved in Chika’s antics or when she tells the Council that she is dating under a prank.
7. Araragi & Senjougahara/Bakemonogatari

Oh boy, this one is going to be a doozy. These two characters have broken up and been made up countless times; that is not to say that’s not normal, it’s perfectly normal, and we see it every day.
While their relationship couldn’t be called ‘normal’ in practice, the two embody the most common form of love, based on romantic attraction. In short, these two crazy kids dig each other and are canonically dating, despite Araragi’s many unintentional and intentional flirtations with the other Monogatari figure advertisements.
They’re ‘canonically’ a couple, and a highly closed reading of the series would tell you that’s that, but you could also read their almost pre-mature love story as the series wanting to get its most traditional tale out of the way. However, the author does hint at them eventually getting married.
8. Karasuma & Irina/Assassination Classroom
Karasuma is a young man with striking dark eyes, eyebrows, and spikey black hair. He is attractive. He has a tall and solid form. Irina is a tall, pretty, fair-skinned young woman who frequently uses her curvy body to seduce and manipulate her targets on the job. She has wavy, hip-length blonde hair, large, light blue eyes, long legs, and a curvy figure.
He notices Irina’s growing affection for him at one point. Despite this, it would appear that he has no desire to reciprocate, as he regards their relationship as solely professional and temporary. However, in chapter 160, when he invites Irina to live with him and work for the Ministry of Defense, it is made clear that he also has feelings for her. Irina happily accepts this offer. In the end, it is revealed in Chapter 179 that she is now his wife and works in the Ministry of Defense.
They now have a daughter, as shown in the Graduation Album. It has also been mentioned that for the past seven years, Irina has failed to win the “never-ending nightly battle between husband and wife,” which greatly frustrates her.
9. Krillin & C-18/Dragon Ball
Krillin and 18 first met when the Z Fighters defeated Dr. Gero, and he desperately released 17 and 18 as a way to kill the Z Fighters, but the two androids betrayed Dr. Gero and killed him. Krillin was afraid of her, and 18 initially didn’t pay attention to him, as she was more interested in fighting Vegeta and hunting down Goku to kill him. However, before she leaves to find Goku, she shocks Krillin by kissing him on the cheek as a goodbye token.
During the aftermath of the Cell fight, C-18 is thought to have left, but she stays in secret due to overhearing Krillin using his wish to remove the bomb from her to make her more human-like. This selfless act drew C-18 closer to Krillin. When questioned about this, Krillin admits his feelings for her but believes she and 17 were a couple. 18 shouted 17 is her twin brother, and she is not interested in Krillin, but she thanked him for saving her before leaving.
Over the next four years, Krillin continued to pursue 18 romantically until she finally agreed to marry him. A year after their marriage, their daughter, Marron, is born. Krillin retires from martial arts after settling down and spending time with his family. 18 also settles down and devotes herself to raising her daughter, as she states nothing can make her happier than her child.
10. Kaji & Misato/Neon Genesis Evangelion
Before the series began, Kaji was in a relationship with Misato. Although Misato’s descriptions of her father as an emotionally fragile workaholic seem to be the exact opposite of Kaji’s personality, Misato ended their relationship when she realized how similar he was to her father.
Therefore, it’s possible that Dr. Katsuragi or Kaji had a secret side. However, from Episode 15 onward, both characters meet up again, exchange wry comments, and even reunite for a brief period.
It’s possible that Kaji’s relationship with Misato was closer than it seemed. “If I ever get to see you again, I’ll say the words I wasn’t able to say eight years ago,” Kaji wrote on her answering machine when he learned that rescuing Fuyutsuki from Seele would be his final assignment. Additionally, they always refer to one another by their respective family names. Kaji also tries unsuccessfully to get Misato to accept the choices she made in the past.
11. Gojo & Marin/My Dress-Up Darling
It is shown at the beginning of the series that Marin and Wakana are classmates who have rarely spoken. Wakana says that Marin, despite the fact that she is well-known and outgoing, lives in a different world than he does and is always the center of attention. After Marin accidentally hits Wakana’s desk, the two briefly talk, but Wakana stops talking because he’s too nervous.
After-school cleaning activities are assigned to the two of them, but things remain awkward and silent. Then, one day, she asks Wakana to make her clothes for her cosplay and reveals that she has a deep passion for cosplaying after seeing him use the school’s sewing machine and learning that he makes hina dolls.
Marin makes it clear that she is in love with Wakana, and throughout the series, she does everything she can to spend time with him and invite him to places. On the other hand, Marin tends to get flushed around Wakana when he compliments her and admires his passion for what he does.
She can also become irritated with Wakana when he categorically denies any rumours that the two of them are dating, given that she is unaware that Wakana believes she would never date someone like him, which upsets her. However, this couple still manages to have happy moments throughout their narrative, making the audience feel warm and fuzzy.
12. Loid & Yor/Spy x Family

Yor’s fictitious, though legal, husband is Loid Forger. Both of them consent to get hitched as it benefits them over the long haul while keeping genuine reasons from one another. Even though they are married, they do not share a bed or room except when they have guests, at which point they only share a room for public appearances. Yor provides Loid with valuable advice when he is tasked with raising Anya, which he always appreciates.
As Yor becomes more fond of her family and new home, it appears that her feelings for Loid continue to grow. Loid, Anya, and Bond are now a part of her motivation to continue working her assassin job to safeguard their peaceful existence.
13. Usui & Misaki/Maid-Sama!
Misaki already kept her feelings for Usui a secret, but not because he wanted her to hide them from herself and everyone else. As a result, she constantly engages in arguments with Usui and disparages him; She also tries to keep her friendship with him a secret because she worries that if the guys at school find out, she will lose her authority.
At the end anime, Usui and Misaki participate in a love trial event at the Yumesaki high school festival. During this event, they quickly overcome all of the challenges that they face. Subsequently, Misaki And Usui both go to watch the firecrackers, wearing Romeo and Juliet outfits, concede their affections for one another, and kiss interestingly. Misaki tells Takumi for the first time that she likes him, and they start dating.
They married ten years after the two graduated, raising two children who share their parent’s qualities.
14. Edward & Winry/Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

After losing his right arm and left leg, Winry took on the role of his automail mechanic, building him sophisticated new limbs when she was eleven years old. Since then, Winry has served as Ed’s constant well of support, both mechanically and emotionally, though they still find themselves frequently arguing due to their stubborn and hot-headed personalities. However, this affectionate hostility appears to be masking a deeper relationship.

Though Edward has not outwardly admitted any romantic feelings toward Winry, he is overprotective of her and becomes unnaturally flustered at the mere suggestion of an amatory relationship between them. Winry, for her part, has admitted to herself that she had been falling for him all along. Edward also says that he hates seeing Winry crying and blames himself whenever it happens, which is acknowledged by Winry, as she promises him that she will not call by sadness again.
They finally confess to each other at the end of the series as Edward proposes to her, although they use The Law of Equivalent Exchange. According to the Fullmetal Alchemist Chronicle (Official Guide), they get married in 1917 and have many children, in the end, showing both an unnamed daughter and son.
15. Hiro & Zero Two/Darling in the FranXX
Zero Two and Hiro were lovers who worked together to defeat the Klaxosaurs. Zero Two erased her memories of when they first met as children; when they met again, Hiro did not recognize Zero Two. Zero Two is a lot more outgoing, a little flamboyant, and rebellious than Hiro, who is a sincere and determined individual. However, she is also a nihilist who regards herself as a monster because she is, in part, a Klaxosaur and longs to become human so that she can be with her Darling again.
Zero Two is very careful in their relationship, whereas Hiro is shy of her. However, she teases and frequently flirts, indicating a clear affection for him. She kissed him when they piloted their FRANXX for the first time, something Hiro had no concept of because of his upbringing.
In their efforts to combat both intrinsic and extrinsic issues, these characters face various challenges. They had low points in their relationship, but no matter what, they always returned to each other and helped each other grow.
Summary
We’ve discussed 15 anime couples that embody the wholesome aspect of what it means to be in a relationship. However, we also added the element of realism into it as well. While anime is the world for an infinite imagination to go wild in, it’s also great to have that realism in there to keep the story/character grounded and more relatable.
We hope you found a couple that piques your interest; who knows if one day you’ll find your ship as well.
