The Uchiha clan is one of the most well-known and prominent families in the Naruto anime and manga series. The clan is renowned for its unique Sharingan eye, which grants them powerful abilities in battle. Unfortunately, the Uchiha clan’s history is marked by tragedy and conflict, with their attempts to rise to power often leading to violence and bloodshed.
Despite this, the Uchiha clan is also known for their loyalty and a strong sense of familial bonds. As a result, many members of the Uchiha clan, including Sasuke and Itachi, have played significant roles in the series and have become fan favourites among Naruto enthusiasts.
- QWho is the strongest Uchiha member?
The strongest Uchiha member would be a tie between Madara, Sasuke and Itachi due to their differences in time/circumstances. In my own bias, I would say Madara since he was always on demon timing and was always alluded to since the beginning of the series.
- QWho is the weakest Uchiha member?
Mikoto and Sakura Uchiha would be your weakest Uchiha members. Mainly due to the differences in the roles they played in the story.
1. Madara Uchiha
Madara Uchiha is as legendary as it gets. Not only was he a key part in the formation of Konoha, but he also alluded to many times throughout the series before his on-screen debut. The top tier Uchiha and one of anime’s most popular villains tops our list at number 1.
Madara’s combat skills were unmatched, and he was able to take on multiple skilled ninjas and emerge victorious. He was able to single-handedly defeat an entire army of shinobi, including the Five Kage, who was considered the strongest ninja in their respective villages.
One of Madara’s most impressive feats was when he became the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, which granted him immense power and abilities. He was also able to summon and control the Nine-Tailed Fox, which is considered one of the most powerful-tailed beasts in existence. Madara was a master of the Sharingan, a powerful dojutsu that allowed him to copy and use any technique he saw. He also unlocked the powers of the Rinnegan, which allowed him to absorb jutsus and render them ineffective.
2. Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke is one of the main characters we see throughout the series and one with a tragic past like our main character Naruto. His clan was slaughtered by his brother Itachi Uchiha, and this led him through a path of revenge/hatred. Being the reincarnation of Indra Otsutsuki, Sasuke already was poised to be high on this list.
Sasuke is a skilled user of the Sharingan, a powerful dojutsu that allows him to see and copy any technique he witnesses. He is also a skilled user of Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu, making him a versatile fighter. One of his most notable feats is his ability to use the Chidori, a high-level lightning-based Ninjutsu technique that can cause immense damage.
Sasuke’s accomplishments include defeating numerous powerful opponents, including some of the strongest ninjas in the Naruto universe. He was also able to awaken the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, a more advanced form of the Sharingan that grants him even more powerful abilities. Also, only a few members of the Uchiha clan are shown to have achieved this level of the Sharingan.
3. Obito Uchiha
Obito Uchiha is what Naruto would have been if went down a dark path. Being the right-hand man of Madara and a part of the terroristic group, the Akatsuki, Obito has earned his place as third on our list.
Obito’s accomplishments include taking down numerous powerful opponents, including some of the strongest ninjas in the Naruto universe. He was also able to create and control a massive army of White Zetsu clones, which he used to launch devastating attacks on his enemies.
Some of you may argue that I put Obito over Itachi, and I say the series supports me more than you. He became a tailed beast user, has the world thinking he was Madara Uchiha, helped instigate and commence the fourth great ninja war, and wielded one of the most badass weapons we get to see as fans. Obito beats Itachi, mid diff, with both eyes, low diff if he had the tailed beast form.
4. Itachi Uchiha
Itachi is what comes to a lot of people’s minds when they think of the strongest Uchiha, but Kishimoto nerfed him before we could see him in his peak form. He is the older brother of Sasuke and a member of the Akatsuki. He was also a former member of the ANBU Black Ops crew that operates under the Hokage directly.
Itachi was known for his mastery of the Sharingan, which allowed him to copy and use any technique he saw. He was also a master of Genjutsu, the art of creating illusions that can manipulate the senses of his opponents. Itachi used his Sharingan and Genjutsu to defeat numerous powerful opponents.
One of Itachi’s most notable feats was his ability to defeat his own clan, the Uchiha clan, single-handedly. He also took down some of the strongest ninjas in the Naruto universe, including members of the Akatsuki organization. Itachi was also able to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan and portray his mastery of his Dojutsu through the use of his imperfect Susanoo.
5. Shisui Uchiha
Shisui Uchiha is showcased earlier in the series as one of his generation’s strongest (before his death). His mastery of the teleportation jutsu had him running circles around ANBU members at a young age. Unfortunately, a man named Danzo had other plans and he sacrificed himself for peace helping Itachi achieve his Mangekyo Sharingan.
One of Shisui’s most notable feats was his ability to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan at a young age. This allowed him to use powerful techniques such as the Kotoamatsukami, which allowed him to manipulate the minds of his opponents without them even realizing it. Aside from his feats as a youngin, his eyes were the real prize. His eyes were soo powerful that Danzo targeted him and was able to steal one of his eyes. His Genjutsu powers were soo strong that they were said to surpass that of Itachi’s by a great stride.
Despite his relatively short appearance in the Naruto series, Shisui Uchiha is widely regarded as one of the strongest members of the Uchiha clan. His mastery of the Sharingan and his impressive physical abilities make him a force to be reckoned with in battle.
6. Indra Otsutsuki
Indra is the son of the legendary sage of six paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, and one of the two founding members of the Uchiha clan. Indra was known for his incredible strength and his mastery of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. He is also known to have many reincarnations being in the forms of Madara, Obito, and Sasuke.
Indra was born with a powerful chakra, which he inherited from his father, the sage of six paths. This chakra gave him immense strength and allowed him to perform incredible feats of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Remember that this is when the Uchiha clan is not a thing and that variations of the Sharingan have yet to be created.
One of Indra’s most notable feats was his creation of the Susanoo, a powerful technique that creates a massive, humanoid form of chakra around the user. Indra’s Susanoo was one of the most powerful in existence, capable of devastating entire armies and taking down powerful opponents with ease.
7. Izuna Uchiha
Izuna was really a tragic character, being the brother of Madara Uchiha and growing up in a time of warring states, Izuna had to face adversity from birth. Izuna was known for 2 things, fighting by Madara’s side and being Madara’s final step to attaining the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, in which you need to steal the eyes of the one closest to you(They also have to be a fellow clansman).
Izuna was known for his impressive physical abilities. He was incredibly fast and agile, able to dodge attacks with ease. He was also skilled in Taijutsu, allowing him to engage in close combat with his opponents. This is probably why a lot of fans equate him to the second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.
One of Izuna’s most notable feats was his participation in the war between the Uchiha and Senju clans. Izuna fought alongside his brother, Madara, and the two of them were able to take down numerous opponents using their combined strength and skills.
8. Fugaku Uchiha
Fugaku is the father of Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha and was the head of the Uchiha clan before their downfall. Fugaku was a skilled ninja and a powerful member of the Uchiha clan. He was stated to be installed as the fourth Hokage, but this ultimately fell through.
Fugaku’s most notable feat was his participation in the Uchiha clan massacre. He was a key player in the Uchiha clan’s attempted coup d’etat against the Konoha government, and when the plan failed, Fugaku was killed by his own son, Itachi.
While Fugaku’s abilities and feats were not shown in great detail in the series, it is clear that he was a powerful and skilled ninja in his own right. His leadership abilities and strategic thinking made him an important member of the Uchiha clan, and his involvement in the clan’s downfall highlights his dedication to their cause. According to the fandom wiki, he was called the Wicked Eye, this is due to his mastery of the Sharingan and his ability to use the Mangekyo.
9. Kagami Uchiha
Kagami is a character with not that much screen time, but from what was portrayed about him, we know that his place at number 9 is solidified. He was part of the 2nd Hokage’s Escort unit during the first great ninja war. He was teamed with famous characters such as the 2nd Hokage, Danzo, and Hiruzen.
Interestingly, Kagami is said to be a direct descendant of Shisui Uchiha and is also said to possess a high power of chakra. This led him to unlock the Mangekyo Sharingan with ease, especially during a time of war. According to episode 358 of Naruto: Shippuden, he was accredited with saving Danzo’s life countless times.
One aspect of Kagami that set’s him apart from his predecessors is that he inherited the Will of Fire as opposed to the Uchiha’s Curse of Hatred. While there is not much evidence of his feats, he still can be considered highly talented due to being so closely associated with the 2nd Hokage.
10. Shin Uchiha
Shin was a former experiment of Orochimaru who believed himself to be the true heir of the Uchiha clan. Shin was a powerful ninja with unique abilities that set him apart from other Uchiha members.
Shin possessed the ability to implant Sharingan eyes into his body, giving him multiple sets of powerful dojutsu. He also had the ability to manipulate metal, which he used to create weapons for battle. He was kind of like Danzo, but even more grotesque to look at.
Shin Uchiha was introduced in Boruto, I feel that his timing was a bit awkward considering we previously had Danzo who had a similar ability and Orochimaru who became a good guy. Overall, I would consider Shin pretty “meh” in terms of strength and feats since he got molly-whopped pretty quickly.
11. Tajima Uchiha
Tajima is the father of Madara Uchiha and was the nemesis of Butsuma Senju. While we got to see very little of his skills, being in a time of warring states and having the average lifespan be so low, Tajima did well in his own regards.
As with most characters on this list, Tajima had access to the Sharingan which helped him in those clan wars he was in. Being the rival of Butsuma Senju, he was known to be a powerful opponent on the battlefield. He was also known for being a practitioner of Kenjutsu since he carried a Tanto on his lower back.
Tajima was loosely based on a famous warrior monk that fought in the Battle of Uji in 1180. He did not awaken his Sharingan past the base level, hence, why he is pretty low on the list.
12. Sakura Uchiha
Now I know what you’re thinking, “Sakura?! Why is she even on this list?!”, to answer that, She married Sasuke and is officially a member of the Uchiha clan. While she does not possess the visual Dojutsu like others on this list, she still is strong in her own way.
Sakura was trained by one of the legendary Sannin, Tsunade Senju, a descendant of the First Hokage. Through her training, she surpassed her master and was a key asset in the Fourth Great Ninja war. Her recovery skills are second to none and her physical prowess even has Sasuke not wanting to get on her bad side.
While she does not have great rapport like other Uchiha members, she does manage to be recognized as one of the greatest medical ninjas and her status as part of being of team 7 aids her too. As an adult, she was able to go against Shin Uchiha, who wielded a Mangekyo Sharingan.
13. Sarada Uchiha
Sarada is the daughter of Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno and a member of the Uchiha clan. Sarada inherited the Sharingan from her father and is a skilled ninja in her own right. She is also a part of the new generations team 7 members.
Sarada is still young and has not fully developed into a full-fledged shinobi. She can use the Sharingan which she inherited from her father, and she is also able to use the Chidori technique. Her physical combat skills are good as well, but not fully developed, thus, why she is ranked quite low.
One of Sarada’s biggest accomplishments was her role in defeating the villainous Shin Uchiha, who was attempting to take over the Uchiha clan. She worked together with her father and other allies to stop his plans and bring peace to the Uchiha clan’s name.
14. Izumi Uchiha
Izumi is a character I wished had more screen time due to her amazing chemistry with Itachi. She was a member of the Uchiha clan and a childhood friend of Itachi Uchiha. Izumi is a relatively minor character in the series, with her story being told in a single episode.
Despite her limited screen time, Izumi’s story is a tragic one. She was a talented ninja with a passion for the Uchiha clan but was diagnosed with an incurable illness. Knowing that she did not have long to live, Izumi asked Itachi to use his Mangekyo Sharingan to help her experience a lifetime’s worth of memories in her final moments.
Izumi’s strength lies not in her combat abilities, but in her love for her clan and her determination to make the most of her limited time. Despite her illness, she continued to train and improve her skills as a ninja, hoping to one day be able to contribute to the Uchiha clan’s goals.
15. Mikoto Uchiha
Ending our list is Mikoto Uchiha, wife of Fugaku Uchiha, as well as the mother of Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha. She’s…well…a mother. Nothing much to her but she did have some sort of an impact that we get to witness.
Mikoto was a skilled ninja in her own right, with a strong command of ninjutsu and genjutsu techniques. Her most notable feat was her role in the Uchiha clan’s coup against the Leaf Village. While Mikoto did not directly participate in the coup, she provided support and assistance to her husband and other Uchiha clan members.
Mikoto’s strength lay not only in her combat abilities but in her dedication to her family and her clan. She was a loving wife and mother who did everything in her power to protect and support her family, even in the face of great danger.
While Mikoto’s screentime in the Naruto series was relatively limited, her loyalty and love for her family have made her a memorable and respected character in the series.
The Uchiha clan is a tragic but powerful tale of love and hatred. Its members are some of the most revered and praised in the Naruto fandom and have made their way into other aspects of pop culture.
We hope you found a character that piques your interest!
